Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, that range is broad.

Platforms

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Here is the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
